Beach Haven Public Library and Museum
Third Street and Beach Avenue
Beach Haven, NJ

Welcome to the Beach Haven Library Museum! On the second floor, there is a door where one may step down into a well furnished little museum with high, beamed ceilings and a huge, stone fireplace. It is filled with old maps, hotel registers, deeds, diaries, photographs and other relics of Beach Haven’s century and more of history.

Come visit us to see what's new in the museum. We now have a Research Center containing the first families of Beach Haven, documents with the history of homes from the Historic District, history of the hotels from bygone days and many more old documents that are housed in binders.

We are searching for old Beach Haven photos, documents and deeds to scan so that we may keep adding them to our museum. We will scan your originals and give them back to you.

Our museum is a work in progress. Our goal is to house all the important documents, photos and articles that record our borough's history from 1874.

During the fall and winter months, please call the library at 609.492.7081 to make arrangements to see the museum.
Tons of information regarding homes in the historic district area, from Fifth St. to Chatsworth Ave. and Bay Ave. to Atlantic Ave. Any major changes to these homes will be in our HPAC (Historic Preservation Advisory Commission) binders. These date from the inception of HPAC, started in 2004, until the present.

If your home isn't in the historic district,  we have information about many homes from Twelfth St. south to Nelson Ave. Most of the homes in the binders are on the ocean side of the boulevard.

We also have binders with the first families of Beach Haven - including the wealthy people who built the town - to the local business owners, tradesmen, fishermen, and locals who worked here.
In addition, please visit our museum to see our extensive collection of old hotel memorabilia and Beach Haven artifacts.
